What is a prompt generator?
A prompt generator is a small tool that turns a few plain-language details — your topic, your goal, your tone — into a fully structured instruction that an AI model can act on well.
Instead of typing a request from scratch and hoping the model guesses what you meant, you fill in the specific parts only you know, and the generator assembles the rest: the role, the format, the constraints, and the phrasing each model responds to best.
Draft supports both conversational models like ChatGPT and Claude, and generative models like Midjourney and Veo, adjusting the shape of the output to match how each one actually reads a prompt.
Role or lens
Who or what perspective the model should answer from.
Context
The background details the model has no way to guess.
Task
The instruction itself, stated as a clear action.
Format
Length, structure, and shape of the expected answer.
Constraints
What to avoid, and what tone to hold throughout.
How it works
Three moving parts, working together every time you generate a prompt.
You choose the shape
Pick a model and a category. This tells Draft which template structure to apply — a chat brief, a visual descriptor stack, or a shot list.
You add the specifics
Topic, tone, and any constraints go into the template. These are the only parts that only you can know.
A structured prompt comes out
Draft assembles everything into a prompt shaped for the model you picked, ready to copy and paste.
How to use Draft
From blank page to finished prompt in under a minute.
Pick your target model
Choose ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Veo, or any of the other supported models. This decides how the final prompt is structured.
Choose a category
Browse the categories above and pick the type of output you need — a blog outline, an image scene, ad copy, or one of the other 20 categories.
Fill in your details
Add your topic, tone, and audience. These are the only inputs Draft needs — everything else is handled by the template.
Generate and copy
Press generate, review the output, and copy it straight into your model of choice. Adjust one field and regenerate if it needs tightening.
Benefits of using a prompt generator
Small tool, but it removes the part of the process that slows most people down.
Saves time
No more rewriting the same prompt structure from scratch every time — fill in what's different and go.
Works across models
One workspace for chat, image, and video models, each with a template tuned to how that model actually reads a prompt.
More consistent results
A structured prompt reduces the guesswork a model has to fill in on its own, so output quality varies less.
Beginner friendly
You don't need to know prompt engineering — the categories and fields guide you to a solid result.
No signup, no API key
The builder runs entirely in your browser. Nothing to install, connect, or pay for to try it.
Easy to refine
Tighten one field and regenerate — the structure stays intact while you adjust the details.
Trusted by creators and teams
From solo founders to agency teams — here's how Draft fits into real workflows.
Questions worth answering plainly
Yes — the builder is free with no signup. It runs entirely in your browser, so you can generate and copy as many prompts as you like.
No. Draft only assembles the prompt text. You copy it and paste it into whichever model you're using — nothing is sent anywhere on your behalf.
Image and video models read prompts as ordered lists of descriptors rather than reasoned instructions, so those templates front-load concrete visual and motion details instead of a task statement.
The Indian Institute of Artificial Intelligence Education (IIAIE) is our official education partner. They develop curriculum and certification programs around practical AI skills, including prompt engineering. Draft serves as a hands-on tool within their learning ecosystem.
Yes — treat the output as a strong first draft. Everything in the output box is plain text, so you can tighten wording before you copy it.
No prompt content is stored or transmitted to a server. Generation happens locally in your browser session.
